This review is from: ViewSonic PJD7382 Ultra Short Throw XGA DLP Projector – 120Hz/3D Ready, 2500 Lumens, 3000:1 DCR (Electronics)
This thing is as advertised and then some. The ultra short throw projector is currently set @ 44 inches from the wall/screen and produces an 84 inch diagonal image. Color balance is surprisingly good out of the box (6 segment color wheel really helps here) and adjustments are easy due to the well laid out menus. Video is very smooth, text is good and DLP rainbow effect is negligible. The single speaker is probably adequate for business presentations but for movies or gaming you can easily use the audio “line out” to connect to your AV amp or a decent set of computer speakers. Xbox 360 looks fantastic via VGA, as does the computer desktop. A very bright image, even in “eco” mode with some ambient light. This is a great starter projector and is very versatile due to the short throw capability as you’re not blocking the projector beam when playing Wii sports or Kinect. The only minor drawback is the lack of HDMI, but @ this price point it’s still a great buy…

I’m using it for a new church meeting in a school’s auditorium. The screen that it’s shown on is over 25′ diagonally. I have it backed up about 12 feet from the screen and it’s displaying at almost it’s full 25′ capacity and the picture and brightness and clarity are incredible. It’s wonderfully easy to set up – essentially, plug and play. Since we have to set up and tear down each week, I needed my 13 year old son to be familiar with the process as this was his responsibility, so I told him that he could use it for gaming to get familiar with it. It covers the whole wall, is perfectly clear and provides an amazing gaming experience. I could not be happier with the projector…and the price is incredible. I strongly recommend the product.
