   First lamp went the way of all things. This lamp works great and was not too hard to install. Just pay attention to how the lamp comes out. Have had for 6 months with no problems.

   I purchased this lamp as a replacement for my dad’s Samsung DLP TV. The old one was 5 years old, and while it still worked, this new lamp restored the brightness and picture quality to “like new” condition.

   Don’t wait until your old lamp fails, as that may “stress out” your ballast and cause it to fail. As the lamp ages, it becomes harder and harder for the ballast to maintain the arc within the lamp. Besides, you’ll really appreciate the difference in brightness with a fresh new lamp!
