I am looking at picking up an InFocus iN72 dlp home theater projector. Man the bulbs cost close to 400. I found one place that has them for 275.

It is rated 3000 hours with a 6 month warranty. My dad’s rear projection lasted about 2 1/2 years. Should I expect the same.

I have read a few horror stories where people had their’s burn out after just a few months. I am buying it for a xmas present so we won’t really be using it til then so I would only have about 2 months of warrant left.
I also looked at the BenQ, Optoma and Epson, but the reviews I have read place the iN72 highest for what i am looking for. plus it has two digital inputs ( 1hdmi, 1dvi) and also a hd component input for my Wii.
